    Nuevas NVidia 9700M y 9800M para portátiles

    NVidia ha actualizado su catálogo de tarjetas gráficas para portátiles, añadiendo las nuevas GeForce 9700M y 9800M a las ya existentes que se presentaron oficialmente hace algo más de un mes.

    Tanto las NVidia GeForce 9700M como las GeForce 9800M vienen en dos sabores diferentes, las versiones GT y GTS de diferente rendimiento, y además de la versión GTX sólo disponible en la 9800M. Todas estas diferentes versiones de los dos modelos diferentes son tarjetas de gama media-alta, preparadas para portátiles de gran potencia (en su mayor parte, para portátiles para gamers) o para aquellos destinados a servir como dispositivos multimedia por sus capacidades de reproducción de formatos en alta definición, como el Blu-Ray.

    La más potente es la GeForce 9800M GTX, cuyas especificaciones técnicas no han publicado oficialmente pero que se supone monta una GPU G92 a 500 MHz, y que permite realizar 420 GFLOPS frente a los 648 GFLOPS teóricos de la 9800 GTX de sobremesa.

    Los precios aún no han sido desvelados, mientras que aunque tampoco se conocen los fabricantes que montarán estas nuevas GeForce 9M, en la quiniela están los de siempre. Alienware, Dell con su gama de portátiles XPS, y otros menos conocidos como podría ser Rock.
